One of the features of this economic meltdown is the plethora of people with good ideas about what governments should do – usually to other people. Unfortunately, many of these ideas, while well meaning, utterly fail to take account of the enormous balancing act that is government. Added to this is the tendency, in some media circles, to exacerbate the
